I adopted Griff through the Kelowna SPCA when he was 1 year old. He was not neutered, trained and he was terrible with other dogs. I had my hands full with this guy but I knew he came from a not so great home and I wanted to give him the amazing life he deserved. I started with hiring an in home dog trainer to come whip us both into shape (which he did). Training went well and gave Griff the confidence he needed and the structure he never had. He has many hilarious quirks that make me literally laugh out loud. An odd one is he prefers to sleep in the front hall closet. If I don’t have a cozy blanket for him to sleep on in the closet, he would be completely content to sleep on top of the shoes. He also loves to chew on Shrimp’s armpits! You would think Shrimp would object to this, but he actually enjoys it. It’s a bizarre but amazing relationship those two have.
Griff has taught me patience (and lots of it). He has also shown me that if you are comfortable being quirky and weird, people will love and appreciate you that much more!
